If you bring tunes let me clue you to some of our tatses:

Henry - anything by Journey, infact if you have the greatest hits package that will do.

Ben the Hippy - anything by crusty old white dudes (Neil Young, Townes, the Band). NO cRAP! says Ben.

Derrick - Not quite sure but I'm guessing he likes mall punk so something by some band named Dying Thursday Bleeding Down the Well will probably work.

Vann - Total snob, he only likes wax-cylinder recordings of early blues legends from the late 1920s (preferably on loan from Alan Lomax).

Good luck.

WTF is a "tatses"?

; )

okay, if your gonna get all demanding n' shit;
All I have is a new 1 gig shuffle with all my hardcore/metal squished in it. Now I wont subject you all to that repeatedly (although that would be self gratifying) I was thinking of something more universally enjoyable and annoying at the same time...like say 70's disco, 80's country or 90's techno.

But really, gimme some more ideas our your stuck with mine....mwahahaha

Journey is the devil's music. Steve Perry is the anti-Christ.

It makes me want to stomp on little puppies and throw kittens under the wheels of moving buses.

I highly endorse music written and performed within this decade. Take your Stones, Journey, Steve Miller, Chicago shit and check it's corporate-rock BS ass into the retirement home already.

Classic rock belongs in truck commercials, not bike rides. Give me beats!

Oh homey, I've got some beats for you. Couple of gigs of techno, trance and house from people no one has heard of.

I'm not sure whether I'm doing the ride or not. I don't pirate organized rides. I might pay the fee for the sake of my own morals and ride with you band of raging assclowns though.

But if'n you are really interested, I'll burn some tunes for you.

See, what you need is a mini disc player like I have so you don't have to give a shit about storage space.

Sean,
Speaking of ass clowns, I was looking for a clown patch for my rear pockets on my riding shorts for this race. (BTW, just pay the fucking money then ride with the club, 22 bucks towards a bike related cause is worth it - and you get to ride the ferry instead of swimming to the island)

Orion. Can I ride your fixie? If not, I'm gonna whine and see if'n I can do Aaron's tall bike.

Hmm, I haven't decided yet if I am going to try it on 24 Karat. The Fuji might be available though. The guy I sold it to got a flat and hasn't ridden it since. I am also recruiting some weekend warriors from school, so there may be additional people participating in both events.

Ito,
Any word on how much we should bring to put into the pot for the FHR expenses? You could set up one of those PayPal accounts and we could pay you now for a race and Chili later. Strict no refund policy of course.

a yes or no would've worked. I am becoming fascinated with the idea of doing such things fixed. However, construction a trusty steed for my wife is now sucking up most excess funds. So, it'll be mooching or doing without.

I was planning on riding my tall bike. See if I can get in the paper again.

I plan on hauling a bunch of beer to hand out.

Pirating a ride? What does that mean? The roads are public, we are not using any of their resources. At the one stop you PAY for food served by Islanders and local Girl Scouts. We pay our ferry fare.

There is NO pirating going on. Look at it like this: We are just joining in on the fun.

To Pirate the ride, we would 1. Print false ride bibs, 2: eat their food 3. take their women.

The folks that do the FHR would not be doing the CH anyway.

I am tired of this us vs. them BS. Cascade is cool (even if they have some goofy ideas). All bike clubs/gangs are cool. And no ride is "their" ride as long as it is done on public roads! I say, the more the merrier! I just love riding bikes with folks!

Riding alone sucks. (Hi Daniel!)

Gypsie paid both the FHR and CH entry fee last year and wore both patches.

I'll be doing likewise. Just wanna hang out and ride with people. If I can bum a ride, I'll be doing it on a fixie.

I have a four gig iPod I could bring. I even have something like 40 gigs of music at home. Do we want to start a playlist thread?
