Consider it a prelim for the FHR. Anyone else want to go? Meet at the ferry early and go ride. I'm gonna drag Alastair along no matter how much he complains. We'll set a time a couple of posts later. I gotta look up the schedule anyway.

I work Saturdays, unfortunately. (I guess I'll miss every single alley cat and uphill sprint this summer because of that.) Have fun anyway.

Okay, we're going to hop on the 10:35 ferry to Bainbridge. I'm meeting a person or two in the U District at 9:30, and then roll to Westlake to meet anyone else at 10:00. Feel free to bring booze and or food. I'm gonna bring both.

Good ride + unexpected bonus. After we were done, we stopped by Classic Cycle and discovered a great museum. This will definitely have to be a destination for the group some weekend. Here are some pictures.

Yes indeed that museum fucking rocked. Those pics don't even show a third of what was there to see. I could have spent all day in there looking at that stuff. We talked to the owner a bit and he's down for having a mob of bike dorks come and see his stuff. Maybe next Sunday we could go do it again, with a bigger group. The ride itself was awesome, especially since none of us had a granny gear for the hills. I'm gonna buy that guy a beer for letting us hang out with his bikes. No, really. He likes Stella.

That is my friend Jeff. Super nice guy and still super enthusiastic about bikes. He has a good 10 or 15 years more than me in the biz. I have his book about 6 Day races in my shop library, you are welcome to check it out.
His shop is as neat as mine. I love hanging out at his shop.

Yeah, we saw the book, it was great. I picked up a DVD of the documentary Jeff made about 6 Days and it's great. I thought I could have a little bike movie night with that and maybe another film. Got any obscure bike docs in your library Aaron?
