Anyone been to the bread dumpster this winter? Any luck? I hadn't been by since this summer and when I did go by a few weeks back it looked like they'd changed things up.

No change as far as I have seen, still overflowing with bread each time, the SODO one that is, not sure about Freemont.

fremont has been poor pickin's for me, as near as i can tell they switched to having a big composting dumpster with the plastic-bagged stuff in little trash cans to the side.
it's been good for me though to get the extra mileage in and ride down to grand central.

We still get 100% of our house's bread there, you just have to look in all the dumpsters on both sides of the building till you find gold.
that said, i've had best luck with the tall white one that says "compostables" out in the parking lot on the east side.

The Fremont one was what I was referring to.
Thanks Lee, I'm gonna scope it out tonight.
There is also a Grand Central over on Eastlake now, but it's in the base of a condo building and I think the dumpster is in the parking garage.

Personally, myself, nothing beats the KFC dumpster. For pure grossness factor as well as just pure gross-out factor on top of disgusting, nothing beats it! GROSS! But so delicious! I only hit it when I am drunk.

UPDATE: Went to the Fremont dumpster last night. The one marked "Combustibles" was full of good stuff.
It's best to figure out when it dumps and go the day before, that way it will be full to the brim and easier to get into as you can just grab stuff right off the top. Last night I nearly had to get inside the damn thing.

That tall "compostables" dumpster is where I always get it. Sometimes you have to climb in because it's tall. Also, it's brown rather than white, I believe. Maybe Miles has only been there in the dark.
