Hey, I just picked up a copy of the documentary "The Six-Day Bicycle Races" and it's AWESOME! If you care at all about the history of track racing in America, you will enjoy this film. It was produced locally and you can see the website
here. We can watch this and Rad, or Triplets of Belleville, whichever is on hand. I would prefer Rad, but we haven't tracked down a copy. WE'RE WORKING ON IT!! Any other suggestions would be cool, if you have an incredible bike movie just hanging around to be played.

P.S. Our house is in Maple Leaf. Easy to find, but definitely North of downtown. Straight north of the UD on 15th. Not as far as Northgate.

Seconded! Well-done movie and great book. Be sure to buy it from "the source"... Jeff Groman at Classic Cycle over on Bainbridge is co-author and will happily sign your stuff and chat about all things bike.

I've got it on DVD. Bought it on eBay and can make copies. I'll try to remember to bring one to work tomorrow.
<edit>got it copied. PM me and I'll get it to you. I'm working in the U district</edit>

PM me an Address and I'll ride by with your own copy of the Rad DVD on my way home. I live in Bothell and can go home via Lake City.

Awesome. Rad it is! If you guys want to meet up before the movie and make a ride out of it, we could do that as well. Plus no one gets lost that way.

Wait, we are going to have people at the house?! I work that night anyway. This time I better find the Chamios Butt'er where I put it, and no rubbers in my bed.

Garth, I don't want to know where you keep the Butt'r. I don't think anyone else does either.
We're still watching Rad on Saturday night as well as the less funny, but still great Six Day Bicycle Races documentary.
I'm leaving the shop around 5:30 to get a ride in if the weather is still good. Otherwise the movies should start around 8:00.

Apparently RAD was shown on the INHD channel, the guy TIVOd it, and burned it to DVD, complete with scene selection. The quality is decent - certainly not HD, but probably better than the handful of VHS copies running around that have been watched 200 times.

I may be there. Either this or the sci-fi film festival. Still deciding.
