The president is an old oil businessman; he invaded a major oil-producing country. If you haven't heard, it was a poor decision. But that's not the point.
A license to drive a car has become standard identification nationwide. If your credit card requires ID, for instance, a clerk will ask for your license to drive a car.
Since the start of the Bush administration air travel, with a fuel efficiency of around 35 to 40 miles per gallon per person, has become increasingly annoying. As far as I'm aware, there is no increased security for car drivers.
To all this I have one thing to say:
Let's ride some fuckin' bikes.

I rode a penny-farthing once, and it was really fun. I want one so bad.

I'm 26 with no drivers license (never had one) and proud of it. My passport is pretty thrashed from all the use it gets though.

Yeah I got the meaning of the thread, but harping on the name of the place where you get many types of licensing done is the least of our worries. Sure they could change the names of the Driver Licensing offices to Licensing offices or something, but most of what they do is issue drivers licenses.

Here here. Paper covers rock, scissors cuts paper, car squashes bicycle. That's all for now- I'm typing this on my blackberry and traffic's getting a little heavy.
