Back in the archives, no mention of velodromes in (yet to be)SODO. I did read that a series of bicycle paths was created around the city in 1896. One of the routes being pretty much the current UW to Seward Park route.

Here is the info for the predecessor to the Bicycle Master Plan. Anyone down town want to do the leg work to get it?

Random weirdness:

Most of the Shilshole Marina is labeled as 'Golden Gardens Park'. Judging from a current map and some reminiscences on History Link, they really changed the shoreline in that area.

I like how you're supposed to just tool around the trails in Ravenna Park (and apparently not just the main, flat trail).

Back in 1970, the Burke-Gilman's missing link was between 37th NE and either 25th NE or 30th NE. Since Burlington-Northern hadn't yet abandoned the railroad, I'm guessing the bridge over 45th Pl (near the Baskin-Robbins) was out of bounds, but you could walk and bike next to the tracks elsewhere.

Anyone want to do that West Queen Anne Loop? Hoo-boy that looks like a fun one.

And, as always, you can get into downtown, but you can't bike there.

On second thought, it looks like the solid lines are proposed bike routes.
