So I had my Yellow Lemond Fixie stolen. It was parked and locked up on the south east side of the Seattle Central Community College on Broadway. Please get back to me if you know anything or were possibly there Today (2/5/2007) between 3pm and 6pm. The bike rack is right across the street from the bookstore and down towards Pine Street across from the art sculpture. I was at work at the time in the SCCC Library and came out to find it missing at around 6:00pm with no one around. The bike is unmistakable, if you see it call the police of report it to me. Best if you do the police, since there is a case on it already. Case number is 07-092179

I miss it already. Thank you for your thought.

Bellow are some pictures I took just this morning. It’s a Lemond fixie with a fiip-flop hub, a brooks sadel and a chinelli handle bars that have been chopped and have QS2 Brakes on them wrapped yellow to match the frame. The Back wheel is also yellow and the front is black with bladed spokes.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

How come folks never say what kind of lock it was so that I know better than to buy/use one of the same kind?

ounce of prevention...

Please check the lock spec, we all need to know. I am tired of the "anecdotal" evidence of what works and what doesn't.

I inquired about the lock but haven't heard back.

Good news is he found the bike, bad news its in pieces and some of them are missing.

Thanks for keeping an eye out.

Apparently someone saw his bike or knew where it was "stolen to". I guess whoever stole the bike had a bunch of other stolen frames sitting around which were also recovered by the police. A bike thief bust, finally! My buddy's bike is all fixed now. Thanks again for keeping eyes peeled.
