If you've talked to Cass today then you know I'm all fucked up in the head. Monday, Tuesday, whatever. Let's ride!

sounds good.
maybe you have some sort of 'fucked-in-the-head' time travel thing worked out?

I just made my first youtube video. it was pretty exciting.
It would be swell if we rode by the bread dumpster tonight.
The weather is supposed to be clear(ish) and cool. Good night for a Fremont hippie fire? I 'spose.

I'm up for the bread dumpster, but please, the weather is awesome. Let's go farther that just sitting around Fremont or Greenlake.
What about we shoot up north Aurora to Shoreline again first? I don't think we've done that for a while. THen we can sit around the firepit all we want when we get back.

how about the sodo bread dumpster! winds out of the south with these nar nar gusts up to 20mph.
then we get a nice little tail wind to push us here...

That sounds cool too, but it's practically in our backyard, and then I fear we'll just end up drinking in Georgetown again, or looping the ten minutes up to the firepit.
I'd like to get in at least a couple miles on this miraculously dry day.

DUDE!!! thats 19ish miles...
I'll bring a fucking cattle prod if these bitches start crying.
also there is a nice little fire pit on the way back north, but i can't remember the name of the park again. denny blaine or something like that.

I'd rather head north. The thursday rides spend plenty of time down south.
Also, I tend to bail early anyways so don't take my advice.

How is it 19 miles to Sodo?
My work computer has that google link blocked so I'm assuming you put more than just a ride down to sodo on there.
Where else are you proposing?

Didn't you hear? Faux homosexuality is the new male bonding.
Straight male #1: "Can you recommend some decent music?"
Straight male #2 "Well, Morrissey's solo work is often under-rated, but his album 'Vauxhall and I' really makes my socks roll up and down!"
Man #1: "Wanna see the back of my F-150?"
And on and on ...

I'm about to head out to the CIP to do what I do most every tuesday. drink beer and read comic books, and if henry shows up to man the glory hole in the mens room... well i'll just leave that to your imagination.

my new avatar is going to kill you for insinuating that i'm some kind of Canadian.
Historic Note of Importance: The bread dumpster is not on that map.
Nor is it in this fruitful list of dumpsters. It's somewhere around E Marginal, Diagonal, and Ohio in SoSoDo.
I don't know where exactly because of our new friend we found on the ride, Garrett the mountain biker. Maybe he'll find this forum, even though he thought we were called point eighty TWO.
Joe, thanks for the loaf!

I hope you're referring to the loaf of bread I gave you--we don't want any misunderstandings about what went on. Once again: It was a loaf of bread. Bread! A baguette to be exact. It was bread! I swear! Not some other kind of dirty loaf!....sheesh, just leave it alone, people!
You're welcome, by the way. Hope my, uh, I mean, the loaf was tasty.

Awesome ride last night.
After getting stuck at two lights I tried catching up but the head-wind was brutal and you guys were moving. I found Cass and Bott who stopped for a flat.
It was awfully nice of you to wait for them, seeing as it was there idea to go to Georgetown in the first place.
Next time.

Just for the record, we noticed we lost them and you, and we sent Mississippi back to find them! He did, and they said they were heading to belltown and that you were a lazy quitter! So there! ;)

sorry for killing people last night with the pace. i went back to check on those with the flats, but they were dropping out to go else where any ways. much like most tuesday night rides, things fall apart as we go.
if we go to fast, just let us know next time.

yeah i feel you there. i was in the lead for a while and had some people drafting off of me. eventually i went back to cap hill and tried to catch some polo. that didn't happen either.
i think tonight i am going to make up for my sobriety.

Cass and Eric dropped out to meet me for drinks after you guys didn't stop for their mecahnical, and I didn't join the ride after all because it turned out I was obligated to do some traditional post relationship-break-up drinking instead.
And frankly, in my fragile state yesterday, drinking with pretty ladies sounded like a hell of a lot more fun than the beloved .83 sausage-fest (though I do love me the .83 sausage-fest). I promise I'll do better next time and show the fuck up. Everybody play your tiny little violins for me, I know you want to.

We dropped the ride after a flat, becuase I was killing myself trying to keep up with you kids on 36/14 gearing. I just can't spin that fast! I tried to send Remington up to tell you to slow down, but if someone cant keep up, they CANT tell you to slow down.
I'm not THAT slow either.
I was pissed and decided I didn't want to ride if I kept getting dropped, and we weren't sure if Erics tube would hold out.
That was a not fun ride.

for fucks sake! we averaged barely 12mph for the night. and, i'm one of the slowest riders in .83, AND i have to stop and smoke every 15 minutes...
but that head wind did suck ass, like derrick's ass 12 hours after a visit to the taco truck... i was so happy to go north after we finally found that fucking dumpster i almost pee'd my pants.

exactly! when its windy, anyone who falls off the back has a major battle to try to get back on, there is no way one rider in wind like that can compete with a draft pack.
the average speed doesnt matter much in a situation like that... after one fast spike, you can peel off half your riders without noticing it. i dont care how good the dropped rider is or how slow you go after that, its fucking hard to link up again!
