So, on the actual occasion of my 50th fucking birthday, I want make sure I ride at least 50 miles total and my usual commute out and back to Bothell only gets me like 37, so I am planning to add the extra with a ride down to Rainier Beach to Vince's Italian Bar and Restaurant, an establishment that, like me, was also founded in 1957.
Not to commandeer the Tuesday night ride or anything, but if you feel like it, I'm going to leave Red Square at the usual time, and head through Montlake, Leschi, and Mt. Baker down to Seward Park and eventually Vince's where, I will buy some pitchers of beer in the bar and then retire to the restaurant for a quiet dinner with my family as befits a man of my advanced years.
I invite you to join me but if people have other ideas for where they'd prefer to go tonight, that's cool; I wish you well.

ha...thanks for helping me ensure my sanity and scaring me at the same time. Earlier today I signed something and dated it. I wrote "3/27/2007" and seeing that on the page I thought: "hmm, that number looks familiar" I couldn't put my finger on it though. I see or look for patterns in numbers a lot but wasn't sure why "3/27" seemed fresh in my mind. So in reading this I figured it out and at the same time and scared that you have etched the "number of the Dave" in my mind.
