From the Patent Pending Blog:

I think a fleet of these could even address the lack of bike lane across 520.

The only thing it's missing is an assault catapult. You know, for fire bombing the incredulous.

We should build a few of these, and sell rides across Lake Washington during rush hour -- beer included.

Yes! Independent pedal powered transportation across Lake Washington alongside 520 would be awesome. How about boat with several mounting points for bicycles so the commuters just clamp in and power themselves across the lake.

Use roller trainers modified with paddles on the rollers and then the rider could use thier own bike with the rear wheel driving the roller paddles.

This might work if the front fork was fixed, riding rollers with the front wheel free sounds difficult on the water. I'd pay money and contribute labor to help something like this get built.

Yes the fork would have to be fixed.

haulincolin gets the credit for this idea!

The paddles would have to be shielded to prevent splashing water onto the drivetrain and the rider/paddlers.

It would be a fun project unfortunately I have too many projects already.
