I and another are doing our favorite Seattle climbing route this Saturday starting on the north side of the Fremont Bridge. It includes Queen Anne, Delridge, Beacon, Capital and Phinney. The emphasis is a loop around Seattle starting from the lowest sea level compatible to the route for maximum climbing. Email me if you are interested and I'll forward on details on time/place/route cue/drug preference/etc etc.
I am just one mile (part way down the hill) from the highest point in Seattle!

Great link... this was used in incorporating the highest points of Seattle. That Roy climb (steepest block in Seattle) is just a block or two off the route. It doesn't really flow via the route but I included a footnote in the cue sheet for due cred.

So should I buy some beers? How many do you expect on your ride? What flavor beer?

Your shop is like 6 blocks off the route! Convenient.
As of now I have a whopping 3 including myself ..... I can always roll over to a store and grab some on the way. That's why jerseys have beer pockets right?
I have a detailed cue sheet as well if anyone is interested. Just email me at freekindred@gmail.com and I'll pass it your way.

this is gonna be a great ride...
roughly 3,100 feet of elevation fucking gain!! (at least according to my mapping site).
and a ~20% grade (going up aloha ave from the east) about half-way through the ride - see if you can stay out of your grampa-gear on that one!
11:00 under the Aurora Bridge north of the Fremont Bridge.
Call me if you need us to wait a bit.

good to see you two fellas today.
If you want more .83 folks to show up, please come out on a one of our 2 weekly rides. We are a fickle bunch and only like to ride bikes with folks we know. Oh, and cover that lycra shit up with denim! No, offence, many of us are squids at heart.
Squid roll, count off, NOW....

Publishing a start time and a meeting place would have made me more likely to show up. I thought about going, but spent some time brazing racks in my basement instead.
