Someone find us a route now. Hobo-Trails through beacon hill if it hasn't been raining all week? Along the waterfront?

I'd rather do it next week. My girl's going to Costa Rica for ten days starting next thursday, I was hoping to spend some time with her, since I'll be gone all weekend.

I can get us there, maybe i should just stay late after works and hitch on when you guys pass.

I reckon we take a direct route more or less since this will be a long haul ride.

There is a scary little place south of south park I have been meaning to try...

Plant rye grass in an abandoned lot? Brilliant, I wish I had thought of that myself! But we can't all be artists.

Earthworks Park was fun to play in when i was 8. I'm sure i'll still enjoy it today. When i grew up it was surrounded by farmland, and baseball fields. Now it's surrounded by Condo's and townhouses.

Allow me to piss off Aaron twice in one post. I won't be riding, but if you go here before 8:30

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=920847

you can see me and my teammates building a water taxi
skinning a whale playing ultimate frisbee. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Err wait, if they're giving me blood, does that mean I have to give them cookies and orange juice?

edit: I could really use a transfusion today, I'm so sleepy.

I have greedy blood (AB+), so any rh positive stuff will do. Any volunteers?

edit.edit: Except Derrick and Henry of course.

Although i can't imagine that will last much past westlake.

I might be wet blanket esque but I am not sure if I want to set a new distance from WLC record tonight, even if it is to the south. I'll be out but need to get some more stuff ready for the weekend. I'm pondering alternatives

I agree. With a ~80 mile weekend trip just around the corner, and a already-tender hamstring I'd be happy with a jaunt out to carkeek or something tonight.

Public Discussion Concerning Illegal Behavior at Playfield/Fire Pit: April 4

The meeting, rescheduled from Feb. 15, will be held at the new community center. Watch for fliers announcing the time.

After the meeting, Royal Alley-Barnes from the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department will make a recommendation concerning the fire pit to the parks superintendent. In the meantime, playfield security visits in the early mornings and late evenings have increased, and park crews check the fire pit area daily. When the center reopens, police will have increased vehicle access to the playfield area to monitor disturbances and reports of illegal activity. Call 9-1-1 to report disturbances and illegal activities.

sounds like they're pretty frustrated with problems and the firepit might soon be gone, if not already. i can't find information from the april 4 meeting, so i don't know what the solution has been. whether that means we should go there or not is a different matter.

I'm very familiar with that park, it having been my "home field" when I was a little league umpire. No fire pits, and the neighbors will for sure call the cops & fire department if we light one. It does have a nice view and is a short(steep) hill climb from the U Dist QFC. Of course, if we're going that far we might as well continue on out to Magnussen where we can have a fire with no worries.

Hmm good digging, but I would have expected this attitude, it is about as close to a fire pit existing in Medina.

I really wish there was one down here
