I am taking a week off from my shop the last/first week of May/June to be the team mechanic for the Union Bay Cycling women's team.
It should be very interesting. I have never done mobile race support, but dreamt of adjusting a rear derailleur out of the side of a car when I was a teenager. I know I can do wheel changes in 10 seconds or less.
It is going to be fun and a lot of work. The deal breaker for me was they wanted me to wash their team cars. I said NO! and they hired me anyway! I will be washing and tuning 6 women's bikes.
They are racing a 6 day stage race in Hood River, Oregon.

Actually that's the womens portion of my team and I found out last night at Suz's B-day party that Aaron was going to be the wrench. I laughed. They asked if I knew him and I said he's a very good mechanic and an...interesting guy.
Hey Aaron, it's a good race and they're fun girls. Have a blast.

you must be thinking of another Aaron...one that doesn't incessantly flirt with anything that has a pulse.

I'm guessing that it works out well. Besides rumor has it that Gypsy might be rolling as well.

Please stop it Trevor, you are pissing me off. And I don't flirt or hit on women in the club. I have been told that I did, and I stopped long ago. And it wasn't always one way flirting.
Actually Trevor, fuck off! I resent totally, your comments. I am totally professional when it comes to bicycle mechanics. Anyone that has had me work on their bike knows I am a master of the trade.
Now what do you do so I can make fun of you?
Give a fellow a chance to change.

alright, alright i'm sorry...sheesh! Who poured the gravel in your Johnson pocket?
Every time I see you ya say "lets argue on the forum" or something like that. Just thought i'd fucking play around some...obviously I can't play that hard with you and i'm making an official apology.
You'd think you can take the crap you flip too, but okay.
For the record, I NEVER called you unprofessional, or a poor mechanic or anything else other than a flirt. I'm just having a bit of fun. If you don't believe my sincerity we can discuss over beer...or a trip to the octagon.
Now go have a drink and relax.
