I'd totally ride that, but I worry I don't own appropriate spd-compatible cowboy boots.

Something is missing, but I can't quite figure out what...
Modified an old steel Schwinn frame with surly cog and misc. parts. Solid simple bike, wont need much maintenance. Large frame for someone tall. Frame was treated with mineral spirits and clear coat, but there is some rust, should be easy to paint if you're so inclined. Give me a call or text if you're interested/ have questions, Mark @.....

I like how that ad doesn't even mention the missing seat tube, as if it's completely normal.

well, on the upside you can easily shove your shoe sole on the rear wheel for braking

$100?
So it's stolen, right? We all agree it was stolen and the paint was stripped off? "Frame was treated with mineral spirits and clear coat."
Now the question is, do you think this bike was U-Locked around the seat tube when it was stolen?

Not from Craigslist, but still Fucktardery. This principal could use some chain whip attitude adjustment.
Copy/paste this if you want:
Today, I read about your suspending of the seniors who cycled to school, in what they considered a celebration, but you deemed a dangerous prank.
I would begin by pointing out that, regardless of how late the act may have made other people heading to school, those students (and everyone else) have a legal right to take the lane while riding a bicycle on the road. The fact that you consider a group of people legally using bicycles dangerous/a safety risk sends a message of intolerance to all the students in your district.
You are actively discouraging them from saving money/gas/the environment by employing a bike as their method of transportation, or simply riding a bike because they find it enjoyable. You are sending a message to other students who drive that cyclists are not welcome on the roads, nor at school. Additionally, it appears that you have used your authority to severely overreach, bringing what happens in the community into your school.
Besides the fact that they did nothing illegal, it seems pretty clear that your characterization of this act as a prank is off-base. The fact that the police and the mayor were involved pretty clearly indicates these students took the time to organize what they hoped would be a safe, celebratory event, not a dangerous prank. If you were planning a prank, would you really call the police and mayor ahead of time and invite them to attend?
I implore you to reverse the decision that has been made and perhaps try riding your bike to your work. You may just realize how rewarding it can be.
Ultra-Rare----- HUFFY's Attempt at a High-End Road Bike - $400 (Seattle)
In 1980, Huffy decided to take a leap into the world of high end racing cycles. This was the result: A time-trial inspired, aerodynamic frame with custom fitted parts that were made just for this frame. This one has all its original parts in excellent condition, save the bar wrap. Shimano Adamas brake levers, funky dual-pivot calipers, Adamas pedals, Positron shifting. Although it rides quite nice for a Huffy, this is no beater, everyday commuter-type bike. This bike is best hung on a wall, as a unique and rare-in-this-condition conversation piece. Huffy Collector? Make me an offer. All trades in the "bicycles" category considered. I have no idea what this thing is worth so $400 obo http://www.ehow.com/facts_7355528_information-huffy-aerowind.html
I understand it is somewhat rare to find one for sale that is all original and in this nice of condition

I think this guy is mistaking this to be one of the coveted team 7-11 "huffy" bikes, which were in fact built by Serotta, and a few other guys. This....is not one of those.

I like the dented seattube and is that ducttape where the derailleur should be?

No, that's "aerodynamically shaped", not dented.

hello arriving in Seattle around 2pm, I am selling a van load of bike frames, wheels & parts from a retired bike dealer in California. I will be visiting Seattle from July 11 and 12. my goal is to empty the van and pick up the cargo bound for California. My cell is 510-410-5399. All merchandise is sold with a bill of sale and drivers license id, so you know this came from a good home. Thanks. Charles

"came from a good home". Yes I'm sure it did. Who drives a van full of bike parts 1500 miles to sell them on craigslist? If I were a cop, I'd be wanting to check out what he's loading his van up with for the trip back home.
