Yeah, those bikes locked up sure looked like they were stopping all the folks from walking. wtf?

i think he was overstating that to make the point that it would benefit everyone to provide us with bike racks! he's being on our side, aaron!

Yeah, Allison, I got that! I get his point. I was being sarcastic as well. Too bad you can't hear my voice tone here in the innertube!

The city won't put a bike rack in front of a business that opposes it. Seriously. Bikes parked out front look bad, right?

You can get one installed in front of your favorite business.

However, don't be alarmed if the business doesn't want one. The city won't push the point. I stopped going to my favorite coffee shop when they opposed it. They finally gave in, however, after my 3rd request and a couple of emails to the owner. I still go to Cafe Ladro. Why any business owner wouldn't want one is beyond me.

We are still a few years behind PDX where they remove car parking spots and put up bike racks because IT IS HARD TO FIND A BIKE PARKING SPOT!!

I heard that there's a really long waitlist for bike-rack installation by the city. Maybe they are caught up now? I hope so.

And if I didn't grow up there and this know better, I would say Portland sounds like my dream city. I do love me them bikeracks, though!
