Well i've fit two ... but my supply ran out. If somebody has more persians to devote to the cause i'd be willing to host what's sure to be a grumpy, scratchy, whiny event.
i'll probably be out tonight. i'm kind of exhausted, but that could all change with a red bull and some pedal time.

Same boat. Me and Jessica James are hitting it up right at seven, it's free so it will likely fill to max capacity quickly.

Speaking of boats... last night Ro mentioned the idea of going south on the duwamish interurban / green river trail to check out some abandoned ship skeleton.
Or what about that grass bowl artsy thing near the Airport langston mentioned a few weeks back?

I was going to suggest this possibly, I don't think much is different but maybe they swept it for the grand opening, we could head south and come back on the green/duwamish trail. I'm not sure where Ro's skeleton ship is.

It's on West Marginal Way, if it's the one I'm thinking of. About a mile south of our favorite public waterfront-access park on WMway.
I don't have time to make it pretty but this is the general loop I was thinking of proposing, trail, CoBJ, Taco, dumpster, bar, compatible.
There is a unique sounding place called the "Rivers Landing" South of south park that sounds interesting, interestingly the sign was down today though.

I have a secret side trip I'd like to take you all on first. Less than an hour. I'll make it worth your while.
What do you say?

What an awesome ride! I really liked the miles, the route, and a nifty sweet present from Kevin for me when I got home that I'd like to share with you all here:

i love the fact that i can ride a bike around seattle for years, but still go out and get shown a brand new route that ive never been on before. that chief sealth trail was real nice. people were genuinely excited to see us all using the trail.

an approximation of my route as best as i could guess: gmap!
since the trail isn't on gmaps i kind of fudged from the hybrid view, guessing at what parts of the trail went onto roads and what parts went through the powerline right o' way. that was a pretty fun ride, good to see this city get some more mup trail besides the burke gilman.

I completely agree...what a sweet assed ride! Sorry I had to bale off eairly, but ya know...responsibilities and shiz...lets do it again REAL soon.
CST is cool...but to piss in the coffee some, didn't the designers thing about:
a) wider entrance/exit ramps...some of those were sketchy!
b) gravel shoulders? Some of those windy downhiller'es were having me happy to be on three wheels! glad we didn't christen the CDT with .83 skin & blood.
I damn near bought the farm last night...missed getting squashed by a articulated Metro buy mere inches! If I hadn't tweaked my steering radius last week I fear I wouldn't have been able to avoid him...messy, messy!

I was thinking the same thing, at each entrance they had a ramp surrounded by gravel, I figured they could have just poured more concrete or asphalt. And some sections were covered in gravel that could be swept up. But other than that, I really liked it. The turns (and climbs/descents) kept the riding interesting, so I liked that. I'm just glad that with the lack of trees near the trail, it won't get all bumpy like the BG. If only there were something similar going to Lynnwood...

I thought there was some trail that goes that way?
I've seen it, just not ridden up that direction. Isn't that the Interurban?
