The Deming Log Show is June 9-10. It really is a pretty entertaining show and a good slice wholesome American pie. And oh the BBQ (Alex, the salmon is great) If people are interested we could car pool up and have a mini-Andre Country, the ride is a tad far for getting there and back and watching the show for the weekend. I know there is camping at the actual log show and it is .83 compatable in the sense that we may not be the loudest or most drunk. I'm not sure if it is for participants only though but i could find out. We could camp somewhere along the Nooksack River as well or at Larabee State Park closer to town. I could scout the weekend before.
There will be:
Hot Saws
Helicopter Rides
Log Truck Backing
Axe Throwing
Log Rolling
Spring Board Chopping
Ma and Pa Bucking
Choker Setting
High Wire Acts

Fuck. This reminds me why I left Idaho. Go to this if you appreciate the hypocrisy of idiots using chainsaws to overcompensate for the fact that they are all totally the gay.

Great I'll sign you up as a volunteer for the axe throwing competition. Not everyone has the privilege of working at a computer all day. Logging is a significant portion of the local economy, not a Monte Python performance by the local stage actors guild.

Andre,
Your forgetting that I am three quarters redneck, one quarter moron (on my fathers side).
I was raised in Idaho. I spent my summers working in a saw mill. I smell a bit like pee. I have zero compassion for rednecks anymore. They eat like pigs and breed like rabbits.
