A friend in pdx just told me about Pedalpalooza.
Sounds like two weeks of awesome.
Anyone going down there for the 15th-16th?

Maybe they should have called it Portland Pedal-o-philia...

or just Pedal-a-looza.

Palooza or otherwise, this is my brief period of freedom. I'll be going to Portland this weekend to do some low-cost exploring. Any tips on places to sleep, eat, lockers, etc.?

come to the ride tonight, and I'll give you the run down. If you don't, I'll type something up and send it your way by thur.

Yup. Grew up at 3rd and Catherine (4 blocks south of South St) and my dad lived out in Mt Airy and then Oreland. I went to high school in center city. Moved to Pittsburgh in 1991 for college and to Seattle in 1996 for work.

Dashap lived in Pittsburgh too.

Good places to visit, but I prefer living in Seattle.

I AM from Portland, well Oregon City, if that counts. I moved to PDX right after high school. That looks like the mill/powerplant near Kalama, WA that I passed on my bike ride from OC to SEA way back in 1984. Night before the big trip, I could not sleep, so I took off at Midnight. I was 17.
