I opted for Cadence's so-called Fast Friday today.
#1 People without front brakes ride really slow to the destination.
#2 The first event was 1-on-1 sprints in the I-90 tunnel. At 7pm. You know, when families are ambling around and squids are out since it's still light.
To their credit, the organizers were attempting to be safe about the whole thing and waited for normal users of the tunnel to get out of the way, but the gaps of no one around were few and short lived. And when no one was around they'd stall hella (hi, Ben!) long between heats instead of just sending them out as fast as possible so in the 45 minutes I was there I saw a whopping 4 races.
#3 Number 1 and 2 were anything but fast paced. Fast... O-RLY?
</threadjack>
Aaron, the dead babies have been very cool on the .83 rides I've seen. Last time when we went to Steward park they invited us into their church on the way back and let us ride the electric exercise bike and all of those crazy rear-steering trikes and such.

It seemed to me from my brief encounter with them Friday that they are under the impression that we hate them, which I tried to dispell them of. Not sure where they got that idea.

Don't confuse The Church of Bicycle Jesus with the Dead Babies.

Okay, so what's the difference? I thought "dead baby" ... Terry?.... invited us to the place. Isn't that where the babies headquarters moved to from behind Rendevous on 2nd?

Jake flamed them way back when and Dookie argued with him in the innertube. Dead Babies feel threatened by .83
And Joby, it isn't just me. You will have to choose between .83 and DBB you cannot have both!
Dude. You stole a bike on a club ride, while wearing your vest. So they kicked you out. Get over it.

I really don't WANT to step into this pile of dogshit, but...
WHY can he not have both? We don't care...and they didnt seem to care since they've been on rides as recently as Seward Park. I had a very constructive safety meeting with them, if I remember correctly.
Do the DBB not allow their members to ride with other groups, even ones as unorganized as point83? I'm not going to proclaim to know DICK-SQUAT about the DBB (except for reading their club rules), but if they ride with us, let us use and take us to their hangouts and you were being prospected as a member then...???
That makes NO sense!
i'm going to go wash the shit off now...this whole thing stinks to high friggen heaven.
PS
DBB...COME RIDE WITH US! WE LOVE YOU AND YOUR CRAZY FUCKING BIKES!

I got really drunk last night and made a bitchin fire at the fremont fire pit with a few friends. This has nothing to do with the fabricated .83-DB animosity, because I wanted to change the subject....oh wait, never mind, this does have something to do with that, since the last time I was drunk at the firepit it was with .83 and, I do believe, at least a couple of DBs (Terry and some guy with an anarchy chopper). That was a good time. Remember that night?

One club doesn't hate any other club.
Well, except BtAH, hates everyone in Cascade.

I am not stirring up any trouble, Joby, you do that all on your own with all the lies and gossip.
I have nothing bad to say about the DBs in general. However some of their members are uncool.

Aaron wrote:

turns out that's definitely gossip and apparently a lie. it's also stirring up trouble. i sincerely hope the dead babies don't think you have any say or direction in this club.
did you have any legitimate reason to post that whatsoever?

We can still make fun of eachother's moms though, right?
Cause Trevor's mom is so ugly that hermom had to be drunk to breast feed her.

Maybe it's cause his mom is so dumb that under, "Education," on her job application, she put, "Hooked on Phonics."

now, personally, there's just not enough hours in the day for me to practice up on my hating. every time i dish out some hate, there's just something i miss and leave unhated. no matter how hard i try, (and i do try very hard) never do i quite get everything/everyone sufficiently (for my exacting standards of hating) well-hated. that of course makes me hate myself, which takes alot of the finite amount of hate energy one posesses that could be spent hating others/groups/inanimate objects/peoples' moms. you can see where all this leads, a deepening, darkening spiral of anger and depression, a swirling eddy of pain and self-loathing, where all i can do is bang away at the keyboard expressing my need to be hated more, so i don't have to do it myself so much.
so c'mon, where's the hate?

what a pile of crap this has become. I was just kidding. Seriosly. We should all be friends. I have friends in both clubs. Can't anyone take sarcasm? I was being sarcastic. We can hate (sarctically) the CBC but not the DB? I like all the bike clubs. Anyone on a bike is cool by me. I guess I learned my lesson that sarcsm does not translate to the internet.
Anyone that would judge another, look at your own acts first. As for my transgressions with the DBs, well I paid my debt to them and the rest of society.
Sorry if I stirred any hate. Anger and hate come from within. No one can make another angry or hate. I honestly thought it was funny given all the current bullshit. Guess it was not. Sorry again!
