Last week's was good, too. A woman was looking to "barrow" a bike polo'ers shirt and another wanted to make sweet love to a guy with a Gios hat.

A couple more random notes:

Snohomish County has this belief that trail entrances off major streets should be blocked by chicanes, basically two 3/4 gate arms about 5' apart, which require you to make an 'S' maneuver to get through. I encountered these Saturday on the Interurban Trail (which sucks dead donkey dicks) in Everett and on the Centennial Trail. Fortunately, the Centennial Trail has fewer road crossings, and most of the chicanes have been negotiated enough times by other bikers that you can go around the chicanes on the side.

Jessica, that was Cassidy Lake we saw, not Lake Stevens.

Also, the Hangtown Fry was invented in Hangtown, California, now known as Placerville. It's undisputed that it consisted of the most expensive ingredients in the mining town: eggs, bacon, and oysters. Some claim that it originated as the requested last meal of someone about to be hanged, but the more popular origin story is that a miner who just struck it rich came into town and demanded "the most expensive thing you've got".

I really did grow to loathe those.

I had fun yesterday. I didn't quite make it to U Village by 5:30, but I did get there ahead of my wife.

I feel really nice and relaxed and sleepy today. I wonder if anyone would notice if I took a nap in my cube?

i like the barriers. it's really fun to spin along at 22mph then slow toa full stop to maneuver through the gates.

also, i shouldn't have been on a bike. i'm home sick today. after ditching you kids up north, i road around the lake to 520, and then road home from montlake. it was a nice day for a slow ride.

i had hoped for more miles on the rides. speed isn't always necessary. but... uhm, riding bikes... well, isn't it more than a few blocks? each to their own i guess.

Let us not forget our "club's" initial ride went all of .83 miles.

And for the record, it was a creepy woman not a creepy guy creepin' on the ladies. I stand corrected.

we stopped after .83 miles (on the second or third ride and picked the name from it) because it was pissing rain, but we kept going eventually and put on more that night. the very first ride we put on atleast 15 or 20 going out to alki and back

that sounds like a fun ride. Unfortunately, Seattle urban golf was the day before, and I spent Sunday really really really really hung over.
