hey, my chunky self lost 10lbs or more last year when i started commuting. so that's sorta rad.

however, cool points to those who ride bikes period, no matter the reason.

This all brings to mind some book I read the discussed the Prisoner's Dilemma (basically: if you screw others, you get a gain, but if everyone cooperates, you get a much larger gain). The conclusion was that your best strategy in general is to cooperate with people, until they show they aren't trustworthy, and then stop cooperating with them.

One would presume in real life someone who acted horribly deserves a second (third, etc.) chance, but each time they have to do more and more to get back in your good graces.

Man, I could care less if anyone on the ride is a big ol hog, even if we have to wait for their fat ass to catch up. What I do care about is if someone is a douchebag who makes my head hurt with every word I read or hear. So, Kudos to Shane on his dangling participles and riding a bike and trying to be less of a fatty ("I started this whole thing because all I wanted to do was look good in a costume at the next Ren Fair that I am volunteering at."), and a big BOO for being a douchebag on the forums.
