Post here if you have a 3-speed Sturmey Archer hub that you would like to service/rebuild at a 3-speed only wrench party. Most likely will be a Monday night event at Aaron's shop at a date of Aaron's discretion.
I will be attending
Dennis is interested

This isn't a Sturmey Archer only party is it? I've got an old Sachs 515 I'd love to figure out.

Yeah, what about other internal-gear hubs? I have an SA that could probably use a good cleaning, but I'm more interested in overhauling one of my sachs. Still, if you think that's too much mission creep, so be it.

I'm interested, but my only internal gear hub on the moment is a Rohloff and I'm not taking it apart.
I want to get a SRAM i9 for my folder, but they aren't available yet (are they?)

We could invite other hub brands and their owners too. I would have to be in a few weeks. Monday i my best night but Saturdays also work.
I have parts and knowledge (and manuals) for every hub out there. Alex, your Rohloff probably needs a good cleaning and the best way is to pull it apart. I have replacement seals and all the goods and oil required.

My Rohloff probably only has 1000 miles on it. I've had good luck with the hub, but poor luck with the frames that it has gone on. I had some trouble with the frame that it was first on and that frame spent most of last summer at the manufacture's shop. Then I built up a custom for it and immediately got hit by a car -- that frame is just getting built up again now. Hopefully my hub isn't cursed.
Can you get SRAM i9 hubs yet or are they still Europe only?

Has anyone contemplated or possibly attempted this?:
I am really interested in the SA AW 3speed to 2 speed fixed gear conversion.

I seem to have lost the pdf but there was a similar walk through for a SRAM t3 torpedo hub conversion I think. They said it was easier than the S/A conversion I think.

I'll probably skip this one so that I can make next Thursday's ride. It sucks that it is so nice out tonight but I'm missing the ride...need to work on my minibike for polo.

Did this thread die, or is this still on for tomorrow? My old Sachs is looking for some loving.
My old socks are looking for some washing, but that's a different problem.

Monday (tonight) is on.
Internal gears make a lot of messy rags. Bring some of your own. I am low at the shop. Bring your dirty sox!

shoot, shoot shoot, shoot, shoot! We've got an unexpected out-of-town guest that I must keep company this evening while the spouse is at yoga. I wasn't going to work on my hub but I did want to watch and learn.
