Bonjour!
Just wanted to make a post to introduce myself. Name's Kate. I'm from Winnipeg, and will be spending 2 nights in your fair city (from the 22nd-24th in the morning). I've been conversing over the online with your friend "derrickito", who says that you point83 people are very friendly.
I'm a cyclist here in Winnipeg, but what you have out there seems quite nice. Our Critical Mass rides turned into a way to get the cops angry and really disrupt traffic, and then the fun quickly drained right out of them. It divided cyclists in our city between those that felt Critical Mass was supposed to be a violent protest, and those that did it to have a good time, network, and bring cycling to centre stage.
I digress! I know very little about Seattle and have never been. Anyone interested in showing me a good time? I do love new people. I'm in my 20s, vegetarian, collect records, am a bit of a music nut, a beer snob, a wine fan, etc. You'll see. That Derrick fellow is going to lend me a bike for a tour of the city - so far, that's about all I have planned. Other than the Sage Francis/Buck 65/Alias/Buddy Wakefield show at the showbox. Anyone going to that?
If you need any information, just ask.

If you like sports, I'm going to the Rat City Rollergirls on Saturday night the 23rd. You will need to get a ticket in advance, but it is good fun!

If I'm not camping then I'd be up for such a ride. I love in city scenic loops.

The amazing Dan Deacon is in town and playing a show that night, as well as the hugest show of Atlas' year happening. Really, there's too much going on next weekend for me to be bothered with Canadians, I'm sure Derrick can manage this one on his own. Oh, Derrick. Oh, internets.

Well I sure wouldn't want to make our cold friends from the North not feel welcome, so you are more then welcome to come to my party on the 23rd.

It does seem like quite the busy weekend. Mayhaps things will change around, we'll see. Ending up at that birthday party could be quite the good time.
