that's (as always) during our moped rally, but i think i can pry myself away from ye olde two-stroke engine for some screaming downhill action.
my girlfriend saw that episode of grey's anatomy with the downhill race and is convinced i'm going to break my neck. which, i suppose, is a distinct possability.

Here's what I remember from last year:
Not much.
I did too many drugs. I think I'll put that on my resume.

does anyone know of a bootleg source for said Greys Anatomy clip. I keep hearing about this DBB race reference but have never seen it. Do they have a reenactment or race footage or does some kid just come in to the hospital and say he got banged up in the race?

found this on youtube. has a song track over it but shows some bike race clips. not sure if its the right one
I like how they figure out a way to make the race deadly. I think DBB should sue ABC for defamation.

yeah the episode is...not great. i'm also curious as to how one ends up with a spoke in the ribs without becoming completely shredded by the rest of the bike?
oh and apparently the only rule in the downhill race is no eye-gouging. no eye-gouging? buncha pansies.
i think my favorite part of the episode is at the end when the head nurse lectures the dbbs (and the rest of the cycling community for that matter) for reckless riding. it all deteriorates into a typical cager rant you'd find on craigslist.

Yeah I know Hahn, I had to watch his ass the whole second half of the DBDH last year after he passed me. Almost as humbling as chasing his ass up interlaken after cyclocross practice. He's quite fast for a cat3, he should be cat 2.

$20? The party is worth whatever they end up charging.

the downhill is just down a hill. good if you're already drunk and or just want to get to the party.
they also have a longboard with checkpoints, last year i was poised to do really well (as was langston) because they didn't really advertise it... then seth and featherhead signed up and well, that was that.

I've been training for downhill speed.
My regimen consists of eating a lot. And drinking a lot.
Last time it was in WS there was the uphill of the lower bridge. Plus a lot of flat. A road biker will probably win.

Boo and I are. I am a total fucking douchebag, but she's insanely cute and rides a shiny new Surly with 26" wheels so you should join us. I will ride 10 feet behind so it will appear that you are not with me.
when is this train leaving?
