I am totally down with Issaquah. I used to live there & would love to lead you all there (and back...) It's not that bad of a ride & we can take I-90 one exit on the way back! Cars honk at you, it's fun fun fun.
YES, let's do this. We were going to take the train to the San Juans early tomorrow morning with the bikes for a 3-day camping weekend, but the weather is not cooperating. So instead of heading home after work to prepare for a fun island-hopping weekend, I get to ride with you clowns again. Not bad for a second choice! But let's avoid any campfires tonight, the last one got kinda weird.

my fervor and zeal for Rogue Ales is immense. [1]
My vote is for Issaquah. I need to make sure the Klein still rides, but we're on.
[1] are 'fervor' and 'zeal' counting words, or words designating volume? I have this problem in the store: 15 items or less? 15 items or fewer? I imagine they are quantities of intensity, in which case it feels like a volume measurement.

I can't go to Issaquah today. My Tomassini developed a 240deg spiral fracture around the steer tube, and I'm stuck with riding a 70s Schwinn 10spd cruiser with 26x2.0 tires on it. I get wore out tired riding it from W.Seattle, let alone a 50 mile ride to the 'squah.

at least I found the source of the ridiculous squeak on the work-stand instead of on the side of the road after looking for my teeth.
I've broken more bikes than most of you will ever ride.
The R700 stands ready for resurrection. I need to do a grease job on the heaset and install a rear brake cable. The replacement dérailleur hanger (broken in half, the root of the issue) is en route, it was even supposed to come Tuesday. Bastards.
Derrick, your bike saw work this week. I picked up a headset that will work for it. Baby steps!

I am holding your derailleur hanger in my hand. You should bring your bike out here and we will fix it up for you and then you can ride with us! We leave at 6:30 PM

ya know..something un-nerving about that...maybe its the birthday?
I'm on my 4th broken trike frame (two separate brands) in a year! Us Capir-quarius' must have legs of steel! the ONLY bike i've broken in 30 years was a KONA aa-aa (ah-ah) down hiller made cross. all the rest went to the great bike rack in the sky! sob...
we ride in...

I've been up since sunrise and have no intention of riding east while this comes to an end. Riding to Issaquah seems like such a Kascade thing to do. I humbly suggest rolling through this place by around 9pm. Fewer/Less hippies.
PS- Dear Admin, I hear Joby's riding with Cascade!

jack block? that doesn't even make any sense, it doesn't face the sunset. it's a beautiful day and a fine time to go get drunk on the east side. hell it honestly won't be that far when compared to seatac and richmond beach rides.
issaquah seems like a cascadian thing because we haven't done it, but hell, isn't getting together to ride bikes a dozen miles a "kaskade" thing? i mean, riding short distances and drinking tons of beer is a dead baby thing. we're the best of both worlds!

Is the destination a restaurant? As in, can underage folks get in?

Issaquah Brewery was bought by Rogue Ales in March of 2000. The Brewhouse has been in Issaquah since 1994. Issaquah brews, such as Bull Frog Ale, will continue to be produced on site in its 7bbl brewsystem. There are 21 taps at the Brewhouse, 15 Rogue, 4 Issaquah and 2 domestic. Rogue exported employees to insure that the pub provides the same quality of service as Rogue's other pubs in Newport, Oregon. Located 15 miles from the Space Needle in Seattle the Issaquah Brewery offers catering, meeting space, private parties, gift shop, and a children's play area.
I think we're probably in the clear. We can play!

Sadly we had more injuries, Ben. After the bar the majority went to the lake to drink more and 11 of us headed back. At the roundabout by the school (sunset elementary?) there's a curb painted white in the middle of the road that Joe hit. It looked like a lane marker. He has some road rash on his side and a considerable ding in the side of his helmet.
At the same time Colin (his first ride with .83) had some rear wheel issues. Call it a half-taco. We did some truing and Joe poped some Tylenol and off we went.
We made it back safe to the I-90 tunnel at least when folks split up.
Hope you feel alright in the morning Aaron and Joe!

4:45 am. finally home
a bunch of us went to lake sammamish after the brewery. skinny dipping, socializing, regular hootenany.
on the way out dane hit something on the trail and took a fall. bleeding chin everywhere and tooths in his pockets. hope hes all right. we waited a while for a cab and sent him home. hopefully he'll be ok
long dash to the seattle side. we lost trevor at a corndog stop, then a bunch of us went to the fivepoint and had breakfast. sun coming up as we rolled over the 99 bridge back home
so tired.
dane, check in and let us know how you're doing
aaron, same with you. head ok?

a bunch = 5. which coincidentally is what time it is now. nothing like riding across the aurora bridge in the morning as the sun is coming up over the mountains. long days, short nights i guess.
fried macaroni and cheese wedges = the win.
can't honestly say i've ever had a ride quite like that before.
