I'm sure there are other .83 plant nerds out there. I'm mostly a wanna-be one, my wife is the real nerd. There's a Seattle Tilth sponsored bicycle P-Patch tour on Thursday July 19th. Yes, it interferes with the usual Thursday ride, but I figure others may be interested. Cost is free and the planned route is 15 miles with breaks, runs from 18:30 to 21:00. I'm going to try and bring my wife as I suspect it will be a good slow ride.

I am a total plant nerd. but this tour only goes to 4 p-patches! There are so many more than that around here, aren't there? I can probably think of more than that off the toppa my head.

Well it's a nice idea.

I should organize one myself and give people point for being able to identify plants at each checkpoint.

I'd dig a plant themed alley cat. I've thought of organizing one in the past but didn't know if there were enough plant geeks that would be interested. In addition to P-Patches I may still remember a few things from ALJ's tours of a few parks around here to create something interesting.

I also am a plant nerd. My property where I am building my new house is kitty-corner to the Delridge P-patch. We could stop for beers in my yard and even have a fire. There is also a nice park right next to the garden. It could be the last stop.
