Last time i was out on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail there was a tressel out between Snoqualmie and Fall City, did they get that fixed Alex?
Sorry, I didn't go that far south on the SVT this time. Last time I was out near the tressel was a couple of years ago.

So Mini Bikes, Hills or river valleys...I've not been on the I-90 trail leg east of Issaquah or much of the snoqualmie valley trail. I am interested, Can we get an early ass departure time though, like 8am at the west end of the I-90 bike/ped tunnel? I'm still not sure about Tuesday night PT camping.

Hhmm, I might be interested in the ride, but my only bike is my street bike, I suppose that wouldn't work well, yah? What do you ride for such a trek? Hybrid?

Yes, i'm hoping to leave super early, i should have posted that. 8am at Westlake sounds very good.
A road bike would be fine ... for the most part. There's a lot of riding on gravel so you'd want to be pretty steady on your bike.

Sounds like a blast. I'll see if I'm up to it next weekend. I wanted to make sure and do a nice big ride the weekend before the STP. Hope to meet you then! Or... maybe on a ride before.

I first rode all of this stuff on a road bike with 25mm tires about a decade ago. This last weekend I was riding on 35mm tires on a randoneeuring (think lightweight touring) bike. A hybrid would work, but flat handlebars aren't so comfortable for a long ride.
The narrow tires were fine and not dangerous or sketchy. The wider tires are much more comfortable and faster on gravel (and if you pick your tires carefully they are no slower on pavement).
A touring bike like Henry and Andre's LHTs is great.

I actually ended up leaving the LHT up on Guemes Island to be brought back in a truck on Monday, so this ride better be put off until later in the summer. I'll be doing some kind of more fixie friendly road ride on this day.
