This type of ride needs to happen again. Thursday is suppose to hit the 90's. Beeline to the beach cause the proximity to water makes the soul a little gentler.

Magnuson, Seward, or Madrona Park would be great. Derrick time to pull out your fire engine.

yes! riding and swimming is A+++
unfortunately my fire engine popped and sank while swimming in a yakima indian reservation last summer. ill go try and find a new one.

i put this in the firepit thread. doubling it up here.

the fremont arts council people wrote in and confirmed thursday at 8pm at the old firepit for a meeting (more in depth and focused this time) on what to do, and how to get it done with that space

if no one objects, i say we bring the thursday group from westlake to the firepit.. have a quick meeting with them, then head off down to magnuson for regularly scheduled bbq and swimming night.

Also, I'll ride to the firepit, but I'm not gonna stand around in this heat for very long.

P.S. we should ride up 15th or something or over west queen anne to the ballard bridge just to make it interesting, and so there's no backtracking through fremont.

I leave town for the summer tomorrow and have a million things to do but will try my hardest to make it out for the first part of this ride.

Also, if anyone knows someone underage who looks the least bit like me (I look pretty man-ish in the photo) I have a temporary license good for the next couple months to give up!

My house-sitters are also being wishy-washy on me as well so if anyone wants to take a shift for a day or two and/or could take my cat for a day or two please pm me and I will get your number to my primary house-sitter, Chris, so that he can try to coordinate a night or two off. I live on capitol hill and my cat is a female tabby/maine coon mix, I believe. And I prefer someone who won't steal my underwear!

we'll have all the boys of point83 take polaroids in al's underwear. she wont mind. she can rate them and give a prize to her favorite.

i already have a polaroid camera, just came in the mail. it's for marla the mannequins trip, but it'll be fun wasting the film

al does have a box in her closet full of things that scare even me. FYI

so whats the word on a blender? I have an electric but other then the waffle ride park I know of none that have AC.

I don't know who this seth_seth character is in real non-forum life, but whoever it is he's my soulmate, i've decided. well, in no aspect except beverage preference, of course!

i didn't see the cookie dough post until too late. where is andrew with his iphone when we need it?

after the cip i ended up closing out the knarr with the kids from superformancenashgo, ron was trashed but it was loltacular. hopefully he made it home alright.

derrick, scans of the polaroids should definitely make the internets in the near future.

did i mention that swimming was awesome?

FYI, when someone says "lets go to fremont to look at a lamp" there is no reason ever to go. i dont care if aly rae's ex boyfriend gives you free drinks and you get into the club for free, the lamp is not worth it.

just before I got to delridge under the west seattle bridge I was blocked on the trail with this guy dancing just like your fucking icon... kip ups and flips and all that... hiphopyadontstop... the guy was actually pretty impressive. Better than "The Lamp"...

Fun ride last night, everyone. I am trying to reign in my bitchiness, the firepit was mercifully brief and those cocktails were EXCELLENT. I rolled in the door at 11, happily buzzed.

I hardly seem to get looks at all when hauling bikes around on bikes. Last weekend I hauled my minibike about 25-30 miles between two days of Bruised by Bike events.

I like XtraCycles, but the combo of a trailer and a porteur rack is more useful for me. The porteur rack carries what I need most of the time and the trailer is there for larger items.

the cocktails consisted of...

2 parts yazi ginger infused vodka
1 part triple sec
1 part pineapple juice
1 muddled (or squeezed) lime

shake over ice and enjoy. if you can muddle the lime with ice they come out much better. and if you find yourself in the U-district on a friday night stop in to Flowers and ask Terry to make you one since it's his drink though it doesn't have a name yet.

I'm not suprised that Terry made that up. Flowers is one of my favorite cocktail bars in town. All-Time Favorite, would recommend.
