Hey, Lee, any chance we can get the date format changed on the gallery>

2007.07.06 for example could be either July 6 or June 7 It is confusing.

year/month/date
it's a standard for computers and web that alot of people use. year, month, day.

Stop being so "worldly" Mr. never been to Europe!

Last I checked we were in the USA and here in North America we do it MONTH-DATE-YEAR.

Please fix it. I am sure I am not the only one that it bothers/confuses. It was a simple request. Really no need for e-shafting me. Unless of course, you enjoy e-shafting! Give me shit all you want, just change the date display.

how confusing is that? take one glance at them and you can figure out how it's arranged. unless you're living in a 27 month system that we dont know about

It's a generational thing. Aaron is from the generation that were force fed the metric system in primary school. You made it that far through school, right Aaron? It's a thing from an era, along with southern scuzz rock, john travolta, etc. My mom gets furious over liquids in metric when she cooks. It's sort of funny sort of sad.

Canada, whose sovereignty you could argue, does date/month/year. It's pretty much just us goofy Americans who do it different.

So three points:
You are the only one who has ever brought it up and said it was confusing.
No body is e-shafting you.
The afore mentioned shit has already given, but the change is not likely to follow.

Pretend it's metric and learn how to convert.

Followed by month, then day for easier sorting by computers.

Auto-chronological sorting when viewing by "name" or text date entries in spreadsheets, word documents, whatever. It's really the only system that makes sense when viewing dates as data points or organizing them.

To help Aaron, yyyymmdd makes it easy for computers to sort photos by date. E.g. 20070122 is a bigger number than 20070103 so it happened more recently. Easy, eh?

On the ride we talked about making an algorithm to change the number month display as a word, but on the back side, the computer would still know it as a number.

No, don't do it! You'd be messing with nature! Going where man was not meant to go! Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow! Crossing the streams! For the love of God, man, don't do it!

I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"?
