I got the message below from someone in my neighborhood and have corresponded a bit with the pizza shop owner who wrote it. She said she'd be willing to feed and beer cyclists who could get her pizzas through the no-car zones at Seafair. Anyone other than me interested?

Seafair Help Needed

Hi, I am Kedra Reisinger, co-owner of All-Purpose Pizza in Leschi.
My restaurant has decided to sell slices at Seafair the weekend of
August 3rd/4th/5th and we are running into logistical/traffic/access
issues to deliver our pizzas to our booth due to restrictions with the
Seattle Police Dept.'s traffic/access plan.

We are trying to be creative about how to get our pies inside without
a car and it was suggested that maybe someone has a bicycle with a
carrier (for kids/dogs/long distance travel) hooked on the back that
we could borrow/rent/do a trade for pizza for the weekend to help us
tote pies from the restricted entrance to our booth.

I am looking for someone who might have such a bike set up, or perhaps
some other suggestions (little red wagon? scooter?)

If you have any ideas or are willing to loan me a bike that I can haul
pizza around in please contact me directly at kedrapaige@gmail.com

Thank you!!
Sincerely,
Kedra Reisinger

They're close to my house. I'll send them an email and see if they want to borrow my Xtracycle. My daughters went to a summer preschool with their son last year. They're nice folks.

Edit: And I'll be out of town that weekend, so it's not like I'll need it.

someone with a porteur rack would be excellent for this. In NYC there's hordes of mountain bikes piloted by commissioned riders who deliver food from an astonishing variety of restaurants.

totally, because none of us could ever be considered hipsters. there aren't any fixies, or messenger bags, or converse all-stars, or skinny jeans, or square horn-rimmed glasses, or threadless t-shirts in .83, and god knows none of us have ever been in a band or known anyone who was.

I'm busy that weekend, but can potentially loan a porteur bike if anyone is interested in this.

My bike has drop bars so it is probably limited to a smallish number of large pizzas. It could probably carry tons of smaller ones.
