sorry, can't make it! Joined: 26 Jan 2006 Posts: 2315 Location: Fremont Troll

So not so much with the wrenching, but does anyone have a band saw or other device which would be well suited to cut come thin wall channel stock? I need to make 8 cuts to remove 1/2" off the end of the stock. I'll happily do the work if you let me bring you beer and clean up my mess. Sooner is better, but anytime in the next 10-12 days should be fine.

If it is only 8 cuts then why not just use a hacksaw?

An angle grinder with a cutting disc would probably work too.

That is if you want to drag that crap all the way to the CD. But I'm sure someone nearer you has one.
