Yeah, it's vegetables again. 3 things:
Some 'friend' foisted two zucchini plants on me, and they must be friggin' parthenocarpic (translation: 1 flower = 1 zucchini). I've only got 3 squash already, and it's too much and they're just going to keep coming. If you have a use for some zucchini, tell me. And no, I don't want a zucchini bread recipe, unless it's gluten-free. I already have a bitchin' veggie chili recipe; what I don't have is the time to cook.
On a more useful note, I've got 2 pots of kale to transplant. If you don't know, kale = food from October through May. Even if you don't like the leaves, you'll love the flowers (March-May), which are kinda like broccoli, but not.
Also, I've got lots of lettuce. Really. Need 5 or more heads? Talk to me. Otherwise I'm going to be forced to start a lettuce seed factory in my yard, and no one wants that. You shouldn't be this picky, but I'll tell you anyway: Slobolt, Buttercrunch, Red Sails, Salad Bowl, Valmaine.
PM me, or the terrorists have already won.

Okay, the plan for tonight is that I finish my frisbee game (Magnuson, at around 9), call Langston, and he tells me where you guys are. If it's a reasonable location, I go home, pick some veggies, then deliver them.
So, if you want some lettuce or my 3 zucchini tonight, find Langston before I call him.
I won't be around next week; I expect there will be a zucchini deluge the first week of August, after I get back from Portland (OSCON, if any of you nerds are going).
P.S. The kale are spoken for.

I'll be there. They can also be handed off to Brandon.

Thanks for the salad greens, Greg! He came by around 10:00 last night with about 5lbs of fresh greens, mostly the super tasty Valmaine. By 5lbs I mean a PCC bag completely full of greens had cut less than a couple hours previous. I washed it all (no bugs, not poisons!), stored it in the fridge and today had an excellent salad with goat cheese & Neuman's Caesar dressing. Would recommend, excellent quality. Get on this offer!
