I emailed Erica on Thursday morning and she still hasn't had it changed, so I don't think she's going to or perhaps can't. The ride also got a mention on Slog the other day, as well. Thankfully that used the correct link.
Derrick was planning on putting a re-direct on the point83 main page for all those who came looking for SeattleLikesBikes stuff.

We will have flyers for motorists as well, currently under development. Someone bring Derrick a BLT or some other yummy bacon-type treat. He has to make the text snappy looking.
And here's to Henry for working the website and to Nova who is maintaining all these contacts! Btw - have you heard from the cyclist recently injured on Stone Way we learned about via CM on Friday? Curious ...

Print it out (landscape mode), laminate or mount on posterboard, attach to your bike, and you're good to go!
I think I'm gonna go with this on one side, and a hand-written note to Mayor Nickels on the other.

SDOT painted this afternoon. South of 40th it is 4 car lanes and no bicycle lanes. The sharrows are right in the parked car door range.
It is a good thing that this stuff is water-based and will come off with a pressure washer.

I think Seattle's streets have gotten to the point where just fixing the surface is the priority. Our government wastes so much money discussing things the "Seattle Way" that nothing ever gets fixed!
The 5 million dollars they are spending to repair and reinforce the viaduct only 4 years before it gets torn down (2012) is just crazy and that money could better be spent re-paving streets, fixing sidewalks, etc.
Still, bike infrastructure is a good thing.

regular ole' paper is too flimy ... laminating was too time consuming ... so how about this? All us office monkeys (self included) have access to file folders. Old, beat up file folders that are sitting in a supply closet or drawer somewhere. We can easily attach any of the proposed signs to 1/2 of a file folder and then punch holes in that in order to string the sign on bags, panniers, bikes, whatever.

And having the lanes means n00bs will venture off the Burke-Gilman and onto Stone ... say to access some other northern detination. The lanes, if nothing else, provide a presence. It gives people confidence to leave the BG trail and get on a road with a bike lane ... then someday they will be tooling around in traffic sans a bike lane, like most of the rest of us.
