Once you get it, you won't need to buy anything else for the rest of your life!

you only need to give them your money once, then trade in on an annual basis.
on third road morph pump
second pair of cold weather gloves
second set of fenders
etc
etc
i have a nice pair of full length ski socks that i use biking in cold weather. ive fucked them up by getting them caught on gears. im trying to build up the balls enough to trade in a pair of socks. socks!

I am interested, can depart whenever on Saturday, but will not sing. :)
In terms of collaborative items, especially dinners, I can bring whatever. Just let me know.

Alright, after much silent fence-sitting, I now off the fence and ready to declare that I'm leaving Saturday. Is there still room in somebody's car for one me and one bike + gear? I have $$ for gas and a lousy singing voice, though I can do a credible Sen-dog if rap's your thing. If not, I can drive, and would like to bring someone else along if the numbers work out. Let me know.
I plan to bring a small but pretty efficient camp stove and would like to contribute to one of the group meals. I'm still thinking about the possibilities there...has anyone besides Andre claimed a meal?

I want to caravan, so I'll be at the Dick's on 45th ready for an 8:30am departure. (Kalen, if you're riding with me, can you get there? BTW, I have a CD player!)
How much water should I plan to pack?

I'll bring a water filter and will pump some water. We should probably have at least 1 more filter.

Lucia (sp?) or Derrick:
Do either of you have room for me to ride along? I won't smell if I don't eat eggs the night before.

You spelled it right.
With Kalen I have reached my two-bike capacity. If Derrick can haul your bike, there is room in my car for you and your gear. Then, we can talk about him and listen to CDs.

derrick - so, no singing, but I can clap with a rhythm. That's the best I can offer. And gas money. And maybe some ridiculous trivia knowledge. Do you have roooooooooooom?

That Dicks is like a block from my house. I'll be there, bright and early.
For Saturday dinner, I've got potatoes, onions, garlic fresh from my garden, for roasting in the fire. There's probably enough to fill 4 people, or spread around to everybody if we have a second dish. Any offers on that?
Lucia - damn, I got rid of all my cds when I became a pod person. But at least we don't have to hear Derrick sing.

Joe and Kalen that would be great if you could plan a meal for Saturday night. Sounds like we should have 10 people that night. Plan on at least 3 stoves being there and maybe a small fire. I have a large (6 quart) but light Aluminum pot I will bring, we just need to make sure we have enough fuel. We will have more time to cook Saturday's dinner.
Like I said I will do dinner the Friday night. Though now, in efforts to entice Dave to come, I am going to cook a tasty "Fiesta" style dish, making it worth hauling a beer for dinner too.
Lucia, and others, you probably want 2 water bottles, enough water for the ride but we will have water filters for at camp and cooking. I will bring my filter.
Derrick and Lucia sounds like you are full with Joe, Laura, Kalen, and the gear. We will need another vehicle if additional people are coming. PJ Diddy, Killer Cali?

derrick, if you can haul my bike that'd be sweet. It sounds like you still lack a carpool partner--or is Laura joining you? If not, I'll ride with you. If she is, then I guess I'll just flip a coin 'tween you and Lucia in the morning.

I'm still planning on leaving 11-12 tomorrow. I put my ice axe and big boots back on the bike so if Ben is going to climb Columbia Peak I can get close enough to take the last pictures of him. And if he makes it we can have some ice axe duels on bikes later.

i'm not riding with you goons on this trip, BUT i will offer to be a mule and POSSIBLY take SOME of you 'tards up to whereever your alll going...and even bring ya back.
I have an Isuzu Rodeo that can hold a few bikes and gear.
This offer stands if there are a few folks that are planning on going but are short on getting there.

The UH-60 is the ultimate SUV, and it is cheap at 3500 per flight hour.

Did you steal Henry's mom's credit cards again? Last time it was a sail boat, now you want a helicopter? I think we should just do our accounting like the Federal Gov't, charge the shit out of it and then leave the debt to our kids.

look, if they can misplace a couple hundred thousand ak-47's and a couple million dollars in cash, i figure just one teensy little helicopter can disappear and nobody'd be the wiser.

I'd ride in a helicopter with you john, even a crappy one. Then when we reached altitude I'd push you out of it.
Ben wants to climb Columbia Peak, should be fun just remember stay left at the sawtooth ridge and stay left at the second band rock buttress (Hmmm,I like that word Buttress). Sounds straight forward as long as there isn't any ice in the steep gullies we should make it out alive.
