so I'm building up a 66cm soma frame and have run into a snag. the damn shifter cables are too short to reach the rear derailleur!
I stopped by a shop and compared the length of the one I have vs. what they had as a "standard" shifter cable and, well they were the same length.
so my question is this. does anybody make extra long shifter cables? i'm seriously short by about 6+ inches. or will a tandem cable work? I've never seen a tandem shifter cable before.
this is almost as bad as trying to buy pants...

yep, tandem cable is the solution. i almost had to use a tandem cable when i had barend shifters on my karate monkey, it was a pretty tight fit.

I have a few spare tandem length teflon coated cables if you don't want to track them down in a bike shop. I use them for running my bar-con cables under the tape.
