The Bike Plan, Unravelled

Not a single mile of bike lanes in West Seattle? Aaron, baby, how could you let this happen?

And I was wondering what would happen to Seattle Likes Bikes when we get them to back down in Fremont. Silly me.

It seems like there's no small amount of work to be done, now that the BMP has been "agreed upon" but no (or few) steps have been taken to implement it...

It looks like the biggest challenge will be: getting the city to STICK UP for the Bicycle Master Plan/Complete Streets, and getting the city to give us REALISTIC routes as designated routes. i.e. subbing Woodland for Stone Way is ridiculous.
We ride tonight not just for Stone Way, but for all of Seattle's bike infrastructure, incl. the Burke-Gilman, and the bike lanes that have fallen by the wayside.
