I skidded when better judgment would have said, "use that front brake". Or perhaps that front brake was just the problem...
Regardless my shoulder, both palms, elbows, and, most notably, my side, are pwned! Depending on how I feel tomorrow, I may or may not attend the dead baby downhill.
One question... how do you know if you popped your spleen? If you are a doctor, nurse, murse, or studying some sort of fish, please let me know... (god I hope I am kidding)

btw...
where's the cheapest place to get one's wheels trued? Both seem outa' whack since the biff. I tried my best just after (as I learned to breath again), but it isn't cutting it.

PS. After a good firm face plant, do the following:
-check for teeth: chipped? missing?
-check for heavy bleeding
-check for unusual numbness
-check for bleeding again, especially in areas of unusual numbness.
-check for absurd swelling (internal bleeding?)
-stay awake until sure that you are not in any sort of mortal danger...
-sleep hard, tomorrow you will be sore
