What: Put together backpacks for little ones so they, too can doodle in wide-rule notebooks and sharpen their pencils at inappropriate times when they should be learning math and spelling
Why: So they don't end up in dead-end jobs like yours and slowly hating themselves to death with corndogs like Derrick!
Also: music. snacks. nice folks. 5-foot and barely girls who brawl.
If there's another day as works for you, they're open to that, too, just PM me and I'll put you in touch with the nice young lady who organizes these things.

It's not too late! you can help label backpacks for the chilluns next Thursday (August 16) from 5-7 before you go out and get trashed with the hooligans. Or you know, ride your bike, whatever your game is.

This is part of the YWCA's 'School Days' program (a friend of mine coordinates this kind of stuff for them).
