Would a bike helmet have helped this guy? He landed on his face! Is that your point? A full face motorcycle helmet would have been the right choice of protective gear to have worn for this aerial performance.
It looked like fun until the landing.

His forehead gives the ground a pretty solid smack.
Yes, a helmet would have offered this kid some benefit.

You dip the corn in the fiesta dip. And then you have, a fiesta!

Or a motorcross helmet, with the foam chinbar. He probably could have kept his teeth in his head.
I'm not sayin' everyone should wear a helmet. I'm sayin' that if you're gonna jump some sweet stairs, it might be a good idea to wear a helmet due to the increased likelihood of unintentional head to ground contact.

Yah if you are doing aerials a helmet and other protective gear is probably a good idea, but then you don't look as cool on the video.

haha me too.
I did too, but I figured it out when he posted the same thing to both the .83 and the Cascade forums.
It doesn't apply in this case, but Cascade's forum software is interesting the way it sometimes refers to a person's handle (gsbarnes), and sometimes the person's real name (Greg Barnes).

I'm a friend of the devil, an old bike riding guy, longtime ABR customer, ex-ka$cade dickwad, who appreciates and enjoys your culture and perspective. Met a few of you at wrench parties.
Edit: I don't party too much anymore, because I can't stand the pain, but I do enjoy a good brew and a good time. I lead a weekly ride from Jack Block park - good people, good friends mostly folks escaping from their husband or wife and kids to go for a ride and then get home and back to their lives.

Avatars don't help that much. My bike crank, gsbarnes's Cardinals logo, Andre's hat on a bike, and Derrick's random animations don't give me reminders of who any of us are.
I can usually remember who I am without the avatar though...

i try to hide my identity as much as possible with a cryptic screen name and avatar.
Ya I know I need an avatar, and I have thought about it but haven't decided on anything yet. You don't want to go to a restaurant with me - Mr. menu-orderer-decider-guy.
I don't ride with you much, only a couple of rides usually when the SO is out of town so I don't get shit for drunk riding from her. I really can't stand the pain. Probably haven't met.

Curiously, though, I find all of Derrick's avatars (that I've seen) seem to reflect his Derrickness to some degree.

Do you know any good health food stores in Tacoma?
