Any volunteers? In the spirit of our great president, I will be watching kids and unavailable to help either night.

Tuesday afternoon I will promote our ride at the bottom of the Denny at Westlake/Nickerson. Flyers, posterboard and all.

Unless anyone else claims it in the next hour, I'll be at that same spot with flyers tonight.

I am quoting myself to say that I will not be able to flyer today at said location. If anyone else is dying to do so ... please go for it. I owe you a beer ... or two.

so whats the proposed route this week???
I seem to recall discussions about an up and down stone way...but the SLB.org site shows the old route and the flyer does not indicate this either.

How did flyering go for everyone?
I handed out another 100 on Monday at Dexter & Nickerson and taped small signs just above 4 of the crosswalk buttons at that intersection.
I also taped a full page sign and routemap to the top of one of the guardrail posts on the south end of the fremont bridge approach where pedestrians and bicycles can see it but motorists wouldn't.
I didn't have a chance to check today and see if they were still there.
Tomorrow, I'm going to try to attach some posterboard sign to a lamppost just or two in that area around 4:30 to remind and direct people to the ride. Maybe we should make a couple to post on the Burke or at the bottom of Stone Way?
I saw that Cascade mentioned it again in their Braking News
Quote:
Walk and Bike for a Safer Stone Way
On, August 1, more than 300 cyclists crawled through Fremont, protesting the elimination a planned uphill bike lane on Stone Way N between North 34th and North 40th streets. Organized by Seattle Likes Bikes, the ride garnered attention from every media outlet in the region and was cheered on by drivers and neighbors alike.
This Wednesday, Aug. 15, you can Walk and Bike for a Safer Stone Way. Seattle Likes Bikes will be joining with FeetFirst and PedInRoads for another demonstration in favor of the Stone Way road diet. Meet up at Gasworks at 5pm, ride or walk 5:30-6:30.

Does anyone know the guy that sends out critical mass reminder e-mails? Perhaps he can be convinced to use the power of his mailing list to send out a note.

The real ride guide should be this:
http://www.drizzle.com/~gsbarnes/slb2.guide.pdf
But Henry is too busy trying to use the Safeco Field bike racks to post it.

Those of you with corporate copier donations, have at it.
