I'm going to cut off some of this by going to the Issaquah park and ride. I will be there at 8:30am which road/route will you be taking through Issaquah?

I think our route thorugh issaquah will look like this: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1296472

we could meet at Lake Samm state park, one of the strip malls, or at the head of the trail that goes along i-90.

There is a krispy kreme in the Fred Meyer parking lot, that might work.

So, somewhere in the 4 pages of confusion, I seem to have forgotten where we're going. At least I know where to start now, but how far up are we going past Issaquah?

And as Adam says, everybody fends for themselves this time? Perhaps some food coordination amongst fondoers will happen.

I took a bike/bus route from Fall City to West Seattle last year on a Saturday. Basically, it was all bike except for Issaquah P&R to downtown Seattle. The hardest part was finding the Issaquah P&R, which is here, I believe. Approach from Maple St. (the north).

You want the 554:

http://www.soundtransit.org/x5713.xml.

If you get lost, the Issaquah PCC has bus route maps.

Note that the Seattle/Snoqualmie Falls bus does not run on weekends.

weekends is the problem, especially when you're extra lazy like me.
luckily, people dont mind picking up a hitchiker with a thousand bucks of bike gear with them, it tends to take out the "creepy drifter" feeling out of the hitchin a ride thing

Ok, Ok I'm riding the entire route door-camp-door. Andre when do you think you will hit the West Seattle Bridge? I meet you there to ride to the I-90 bridge tunnel. Ride in group like Laura wanted OK.

Did we coordinate anything last night? If so, I missed it. Still willing to co-chair something. Is there a head count for this trip?

Andre, I'll have my cell phone on 206-349-9576. If you want to stop at MD's for lard stuff that is fine. 7am at WS Bridge
Laura, I figure we can do any food planning at North Bend, just before we head to Middle Fork. I plan on picking up a half case of beer there and maybe some tequila and limes.

if anyone wants to put anything in my car so they dont have to carry it, holler at me.

im assuming we'll be camping in the same spot as ben country v1.0 so that i can find it?

we will try to make a distinct marking, since we have so much daylight we may go further up for variety.

I'll save my "Grease, Salt, Sugar, and Caffeine" intake for Small Fries lunch stop. (well maybe not caffeine)
7 am under the bridge is stil fine Ro, we can saunter over to I-90

Yes we will stock up in North Bend there are supplies, I will come up with a potential group dinner option and we can split buying supplies there. We did fiesta ride last time but if we do Tequila and Limes mexican seems right again. Mmm dinner is going to be bad ass, maybe fajita kabobs, those might be easy. enough.

My list so far is
Andre
Ro
Henry
Ben
Lee
Kalen
Lucia
Laura
MikeOD
Adam
Evan
Evil Mike

Derrick (driving)
Foo (only riding)

others?

This van option is gaining steam.

It holds 5 people w/ seat belts (6-15 without).

Plenty of cuddle room!

Fuck-ass-crazy drifters, burning shoes, tater tots...

Goddamnit, I'm going to be missing out on all the best stuff. Stupid friend getting married....

PS: where's the campsite? There's still no plan of action for this so-called bachelor party tomorrow evening and I must admit to a bit of trepidation on my part about the planning capacity of the folks in charge. In case it ends up being lame and ending early, I might just drive up and get my camp on with you guys.

I'll even bring a knife-swinging wino with me to sweeten the deal.

So was the place we stayed last time the first or the second point on this map?

The third one on this map looks definitely good for camping. The fourth point might work too. It's hard to tell what is really there.

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1298768

Maybe some exploration is in order once we get up there and take a breather.

Camping Friends: I must un-chime myself. I'm a bit under the weather and am going to rest up this weekend. I wish I could be there to take pictures of everything, counsel homeless teens, and eat fiesta. Cheers!

This must be some new definition of Seattle that I am not aware of.

I think i see where your points are.

Two weekends ago we camped a site on the bend just down stream of your first point. WtBC 1 was at the sand bar near your Mile 1. I would be up for checking out some new places along the river up in to the range of your last point the, pot hole riddled road gets a tad tiresome when you are picking a line the whole time.

I was considering bribing a few people to show up really late, and to keep calling and saying "I'm almost there, don't leave without me." That way I get to sleep in and it wouldn't all be on me. But that's probably not what you meant by "legitimate".

You mean that 9 o'clock isn't on cyclist's time (ie, 30 min. late)?

Fine... I'll even try to be there early.
