Hey, does anyone have a decent geared bike in the 50-54cm range that they would be willing to lend my (5'6"ish) sister for the next couple days? She's in town and I would rather show her around on my preferred means of transportation than take the bus everywhere. I'd greatly appreciate it - and so would she.
Road, mountain, or hybrid bike would be best, as long as the gears work, are not too hard to shift, and the bike doesn't have clipless pedals. Let me know if you have something that might work - I'll pay in beer.

I have a 54cm hybrid Miyata that could probably work for her. It has funny, but comfortable Scott AT-4 bars and thumbshifters.
email me if you're interested: dashap327@mac.com
I live in the Central District and might even be able deliver the bike on my trailer if timing works out.

I think we're covered thanks to Mr. Dashap there. I'll let you know if it doesn't work out.
You guys have to promise to be nice to her on tomorrow's ride. Oh, and to not hit on her.

Hi,
My name is Chris, and welcome to Point83. We at Point83 are excited that you have selected us as a bike club you are interested in joining. However, in the interest of Гла́сность, there are a few things we would like you to know before you come on your first ride and should be reminded of if you are thinking about bringing a friend or family member.
1. Bring an extra liver and cab fair on your first few rides until you have navigated home safely at least a few times. We here at Point83 evoke alcohol consumption on an epic level where ever we go and many new and old riders alike have been caught off guard by the alarming quantity we drink in an evening's ride. We want you to have fun, but we also want you to be safe. Drunken bike rides are more fun than wakes.
2. Mind your boobs and butt. Point83 members can be a frisky bunch. Several of our members have been know to "hook-up" as the kids say, or get a little grabby (some straight away, while other after a few drinks). While we do not condone the molestation of new or existing members, the best way to prevent unrequited advances and unwelcomed invasions of your personal space is a good defense. If you think anyone is making a bid to get invited into your pants, let them know if you are not intereseted as soon as possible. Do not be afraid to tell anyone you have had enough and walk away.
3. Be patient. We do not leverage planning strategies, engage in efforts to improve efficiency (save drinking), or condone the use of logic on rides. This also sometimes leads to frustration of newer riders, as they think we have a "plan". We may outline a frame work of things to do on a ride, but we are easily distracted by beaches, booze, dumpsters, and fire pits. If you don't expect anything other than drinking and riding, you will not be disappointed.
4. Tell your spouse, partner, house mate, and rescue team that you are riding with us and that you will likely be home late. Point83 rides frequently last until 22:00 on an early night, 00:00 on an average night, and 04:00 on a late night. It's easier to come back for a ride if you aren't in the dog house. Having a cell phone is also a good idea.
5. Drink water as soon as you get home from one of our rides and consider calling out from work. Many people experience hangovers after a Point83 ride. To minimize you discomfort, drink at least 32 ounces of water when you get home to help prevent dehydration. A preemptive aspirin or Tylenol has done more good than harm.
Thanks for taking interest in Point83 and for reading. We look forward to seeing you at either Red Square on Tuesdays at 19:00, Westlake Center on Thursdays at 19:00, or both if your schedule allows. We also have special events such as activism rides, alleycat races, camping, and drinking.
Ride safe if not sober, but don't ride sober.

I need to edit this for accuracy:
