My wife is doing the Danskin triathlon on Sunday, and needs a bike (one of our 'friends' decided having the bike on their roof rack was not going to stop them from entering their garage).

Salient points: She's 5'5", with a longer back, shorter legs, somewhat heavy. She uses toe clips, definitely not cleats (presumably we could add toe clips to bare pedals, but she can't use clipless pedals). Finally, the bike has to be sufficiently expendable, as it has to be racked up in South Seattle Saturday night (rules of the triathlon). Presumably the theft risk is low, but you never know.

Also, she'd rather it had a rack, so she could stow her stuff in her generic pannier and ride back home after the race. Which should be a clue to you that she doesn't need some uber-racing bike. This is the Danskin, after all.

If you cant find anything else, My bianchi is borrowable.

It has been shifting poorly, doesn't have toe-clips on the pedals, no rack, no bottle cages, And if it gets stolen I might try to kill you.

But as a last resort, its available.

Whats so offensive about that?

I have short legs and am "somewhat" heavy.

I dont find that a negative attribute at all.

Not all girls crazy insecure.

Thanks for the offer, Cass, but we found just the thing sitting in a friend's garage.

Next step: possible fork replacing, definite bike shopping.
