I'm a beginner when it comes to bike mechanics and when they helped me replace my bb at Wright Bros a while back I had almost no idea what I was doing and only three questions to figure it out in. Well my bb still creaks like hell and I'm reluctant to go back there until I know a bit more.
Two questions:
1. Is there a newb friendly bike shop around town that could help me figure out my creaking bb?
2. Can I purchase a replacement crank bolt if I've lost one or do I have to buy a whole new crank set? They are (I believe) shitty 175 mm steel Shimano Soras.

1. Depends on how well you know the folks. It's a somewhat time consuming task and time is money for shops. Maybe a wrench party?
2. Yes - should be ~$.50
