I'd have to say that first tuesday night ride was some of the most fun i've ever had. The ride? well we just went straight up the burke to bothell ... and back.

Is officially being .83 still three rides and a race?

Is there a forum posting minimum?

However, It looks like someone actually is taking it seriously. I'd better go trash it. Also, I post a lot because I'm bored with my internet desk job. If you're not some 1337 h4x0r or whatever, you don't have to post.

P.S. to be helpful, I think you still have to go on like, a few rides, and buy some beers at some point or another (for me), and you do have to go to a greenlake race, and then you have to collect at least 100 coins and beat the level boss and then you might get a spoke card. I don't have a spoke card, so i don't really know what it takes.

.. and I have to collect 100 gold coins and beat the miniboss. This is going to take a while.

That was a fun read. Is that J-Ryde guy still around?

Happy Stick told me on my 5th ride everyone punches me in the balls and then I get to be in the gang. I also had to pay him $50.

After 2 rides, women get a personal evaluation by Derrick.

Sometimes the evaluation takes place even after 1 ride, or earlier!

I feel so much more edumacated about the history of point83 now. For nastalgia purposes I went back to find the first ride I went on: Thu Feb 23, 2006

It amuses me anyone ever tried to create rules for .83!

Bumping this thread today, for those who, like me, are in need of some quiet reading material.

Read and learn, before the russkies take down LiveJournal for good.

I think the first Fremont Firepit bonfire may have been Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005.

It was also in November 2005 that Andre foreshadowed one of .83's main hobbies:

*starts warming up*

But I don't think we got to our first ride featuring karaoke until we went to the Boxcar on Thursday, January 12th, 2006. Two facts emerge here:

One, this was the beginning of the infamous brandy phase (which last popped up when Scotty visited back in October 2006)

Two, Ben sang Johnny Be Goode. I wonder if Denny still has those photos and videos copied somewhere.

Also worth noting, back in ye olde August 2005, the prefunk meetups were at the College Inn Pub and in Fremont, where we rode down to Westlake together ala Critical Mass.

just wrong on this one fact about brandy. on the night of the first thanksgiving ride, my roomate/sister had just made some cookies and had used a bit of a bottle of flavored brandy and she didn't need the rest. i took it out and we were drinking it at alki. i bought it a bunch more early on. i remember this as it was the first time i ever had that fruity cheap brandy and i really liked it. it was my staple for a while.

Well that was a fun read. I think it can all be summed up with:

if a little razzing and horse cock on the forum is too much for you (or anyone), why are you even here?

Spoke card?
