I was finially able to sit down and edit the video.

It feels like it is missing something. I kept it short. I think if we do this again we need to have interviews or something. Check it out and let me know what you think. I can easily make any changes. Like say... cut it in half.

Edit: I'm not sure how picky we want to get with YouTube making shit all fuzzy. I fucked around with different export settings and then said fuck it.

I need music ideas for the clip. Whats a good track to watch people on bikes with?

If you ever need bicycle related music, there's a list in the back of Bike Cult. Search Inside and type in "Music, Songs, Recordings" and then follow the first "Back Matter" link. It should plop you down on page 530, the list goes until page 533.

Jeff,

I know I asked you to do it, but I'm going to be unhelpful here and say I don't know how to improve it. This is largely because when it comes to video, I know nothing.

Mostly I was thinking we needed to document our rides/actions; this ride wasn't very visual, so I'm not surprised a video made of it lacks a certain something. (Maybe if those pedestrians had actually shown up. Or maybe if you had managed to get the drivers cursing us out as we crossed the street. No such luck). Think of it as a dry run for future more visual events.

Speaking of which, I believe we might need someone with a camera next Sunday.

I agree. This might have been enough if there were a much larger number riders. Everything here is the best footage I got which is pretty anti-clamatic.

It was good practice I guess. Next time we should have cyclist interviews, and try to get opinions from other people. Next time I'm filming I'll try to talk to cars at stop lights about what they think.

Having the documentation of the event is a good thing ... good job Jeff!

Would you be willing to take a stab at Lee's footage from the 1st ride? That may be more exciting simply because there were so many people.

dewd, that was pretty cool, all in all.

Lets keep it going with the other planned events. I know jack squat about video or utube, but keep up the good/hard work.

I especially like the sound track, that song just doesnt get old!

Yeah no problem. Throw it on a disc and I'll come grab it Thursday at Westlake.
