For those of you who have yet to enter the world where your spring is filled with charity auctions, it goes like this:
Along with all the auctiony things (desserts, Aquasox tickets, cruises, etc.), the in-thing now is to have parties that you can just buy into. E.g., $35 gets you into the "guys night out Poker Party", $25 and your family attends a weenie roast at Seward Park, $30 gets you (in this case) some party where women lounge outside near a pool drinking Mojitos.
