OK, did any of the rest of you degenerates catch it this morning? Moon's starting to edge out of totality right now but it's cold, I'm tired and I've seen two before so I'ma goin' back to sleep.

I've been finishing off the absinthe under the red light.

Mind boggling eclipse. Best Lunar I have ever seen...

Weird thing!
I watched it twice.
1st I had a dream I got up and watched the eclipse, beautiful red glow, woke up it was 12:30am, what?
Went back to sleep woke up at 2:30 went in the backyard watched it again, same beautiful red glowing moon.
Was I dreaming again?
Weird thing!

Alastair woke me up so I could see it. I think my general response was "What? Oh. Cool. *falls asleep*"

It WAS cool.

It was so cool looking. I wish I had some sort of camera that could take pictures. Instead I just sat outside in the cold and stared at it dreamingly.

Yeah, it got me mentally also...

When I saw the shadow begin to creep across the moon...

I like suddenly wished I had had a naked virgin with hands tied up writhing on a big white bed, a blood offering dripping crimson from an ancient and unnaturally sharp blade, some nefarious witches at my bidding grinding herbs in mortar and pestle around smoking cauldrons, a familiar of somesorts eating a sacrificed animal, and some odd ritual with magic wands around a flaming skull or frankincense and benzoin.

But alas... virgins are so hard to come by... I had to make do...

The world is just not what it once was...

seriously... best lunar eclipse I have ever seen... smokes the total from back in '74. That one had a small crescent... not quite perfect...

BTW::
thanks for the Pics Denny... I was too awestruck to go get my camera...
