On the way to my son's daycare from the bus stop (grrr) this morning, he detoured to grab a free magazine from a coffee shop (as he often does), and came back with a copy of the September 2007 'Competitor Northwest', one of those free rags that always features a runner on the cover.

I opened it up as we were heading into the daycare, and my eye was caught by the following blurb:

Quote:

Seattle Likes Bikes

It's an understatement in a world that is accustomed to making bold statements: Seattle likes bikes. Now, it's also the name of a group and Web site that is campaigning for better biking measures in Seattle, from including bike lanes to preventing unnecessary trail closures. The riders who started the organization want to make Seattle safe for everyone, including commuters, racers and recreational riders alike.

Find out how you can help at www.seattlelikesbikes.org

Color me bemused.
