I'd like to go to the Kent art-pit thing that I've rambled about before. It's 20 miles of nearly all flat riding. Plenty of beer stops and fun parks to divert to along the way as well. Yay new places!

i like the pit idea, but are people on board for a 40 miler?

I am running against Langston for Ride Navigator on the platform of "No 21% grade hills"
If we do go to this pit thing I can get us there without some silly climbing, though being that far south and close to said tunnel from the BRE* popping through for old time sakes wouldn't bee so bad no would it.
*debated

ya 180th is one hellofa hill! You can stay on the river trail and hit a runabout and climb a hill that's super easy... I'm down for this ride. Johnson pit would make a great fire pit!

if you know the runabout then I'm down. I've never been here either, but I know the way to the Interurban Trail.

Yeah, I know I can make the ride, but its a time factor, and I'm still rather new to the city, so I don't really feel like turning back halfway and getting lost trying to find my way home by myself.

I've got to go to schmancy dinner because my schmancy siblings are in town, but i'll be done by 11:00 and picking up the phone to join the madness.
I had a dream about Thursday nights last night. It was truly bizarre. I know i say this all the time, but i need to quit this club.

When I say it's a time factor, I mean I don't know if I can be out riding until 3 in the morning, I have to be up at 8 tomorrow.

aw, it really isn't that far that's being mentioned, the mean people on the internet are just talking up the distance overmuch. what's more beyond that, it's not at all certain that we'd actually go there, maybe somebody will have a better idea?
anyhow, it's an amazing evening for riding - perfect weather! don't let it pass you by.

See I'm bitching about it and talking about how it's a bad idea for me to go now, but I'll be there, I'm not kidding anybody. Even if I was out until three riding I don't really give a shit, I'd rather be riding than sleeping anyday.

Don't worry seven(if thats your real name). I have an early morning so plan on just riding to the duwamish trail and if I can't turn the group will just ride the duwamish to West Seattle.

i do really want to go! i'm just wondering if i can make it to westlake in time. i live in sand point so it takes me a while to get to westlake (and that's after getting home & change & try to eat something first). then i have a nice long ride home. that's if i bike. otherwise i have to talk jared into driving me down to westlake to make it on time.
edit: btw hi, i'm a whiner.

This is as good as any destination. There are not many distractions down South but I will do my best to take you through the few attractions down south. There are some neat spots along the river. We will be follwing the Green River Trail which meanders more and may be a tad longer than the Interurban but is more interesting. The have about just as many bollards.
I think it might be funny to crash an Applebee's happy hour on the way north.
Noobs, don't drop out.

The ride almost never goes where people on the internet say it'll go anyway. Don't assume that the forums have anything to do with reality.
I wish I could go tonight, but we have something else going on. Hope to see folks at CM and/or Rollo tomorrow.
